My name is Angela and I'm the artist behind the images of Angela Smith Photography. I'm a wife, mother of two young children, and lover of all things photography. I am located in Sherwood, Oregon and service the greater Portland Metro area. While I enjoy photographing subjects of all kinds, I have found that my passion lies in capturing life's most treasured moments - the miracle of a newborn, the confidence of a high school senior, a young couple in love, and a bride's tears of joy on her wedding day.
I want to thank you for visiting my blog. Please kick your feet up, grab a cup of coffee, and share my passion with me!

Newborn "S" & big brother "H"
Yesterday, I had the opportunity to photograph one of my favorite family's newest additions - baby "S." I actually went to college with the parents, but they didn't know that when they first hired me 2 years ago to photograph their newborn (now the big brother). It was so great to see them again - they are truly the nicest people! Congrats to you both - you have a beautiful family!

Portland Oregon Wedding Photographer - Floral & Bridal Shoot in Sellwood, Oregon
Today I had the pleasure of working with the talented Lisa Swartout of Bella Bloom and the beautiful Maria. We headed over to the cute little church in Sellwood for a product shoot for Lisa's flowers. Some of my favorite images from our shoot today....

Bret Michaels, my brother's rock band & me!
This past weekend, I had the incredible opportunity to meet Bret Michaels! You may not know who he is unless you've seen him on VH1's Rock of Love, however I remember him as the lead singer for the rock band Poison, of which I was a huge fan in middle school & high school. Poison played at the State Fair this Saturday in Salem and Bret Michaels got booked to make an appearance at Duffy's Hanger in Salem. My brother's rock band Thrust got hired by Duffy's to play that evening as well. I saw this as a once-in-a-lifetime photo opportunity, so I grabbed my camera, a couple lenses & headed off to Salem. Here are some of my favorite shots from this night.

This is my brother - he's the singer for the band Thrust.

Guitar player Clay (or his hands, at least).

"Big John" on stage with Thrust. They auctioned off Bret's clothing from the concert earlier to benefit childhood diabetes charities. I love how my brother is looking at John - he later told me he was thinking "Man, he is huge!"

Kori (my sister-in-law) and Bret. She's due to have their first baby October 1st!

Seniors Pictures from Wilsonville Oregon - Best Friends
Last weekend, I had the pleasure of working with two girls who have been best friends since first grade. Both girls are fun and were a joy to work with, however the two girls couldn't be more diffferent and this became apparent to me immediately once I started working with them. I really enjoyed my time spent with them (and A's mom Susan - such a sweet lady) and wish them both the best!

Sherwood Oregon Maternity Pictures - Is there something in the water?
Yep, another maternity session! I am loving all these round bellies and glowing women. C & P were so much fun to work with and were open to anything. Some favorites from their session..
