My name is Angela and I'm the artist behind the images of Angela Smith Photography. I'm a wife, mother of two young children, and lover of all things photography.

I am located in Sherwood, Oregon and service the greater Portland Metro area. While I enjoy photographing subjects of all kinds, I have found that my passion lies in capturing life's most treasured moments - the miracle of a newborn, the confidence of a high school senior, a young couple in love, and a bride's tears of joy on her wedding day.

I want to thank you for visiting my blog. Please kick your feet up, grab a cup of coffee, and share my passion with me!

And to not have favorites...

Brady is almost 3 1/2. We took these this afternoon. He is much more cooperative than my little Addi (but that wasn't always the case).
You can see more of my photos on my photography website.

Ok, ok. I know. I've said it before. But really. I want to do this 365 day flickr project. So I'm going to try again.. My first entry...

I can't believe how fast she's growing up!

My daughter is 19 months old.. Almost 20, I guess. I can't believe she's almost 2 already. She's such a fun little girl. She's already got opinions about everything - she picks out her own clothes & speaks her mind. I feel so blessed that I get to experience raising both a son and a daughter..

"A Day in My Life"

I took this today for a contest titled "A day in my life."

This is what we stay at home moms do, afterall, isn't it?

Made it past round 2!

This time, the theme was brick. I'm in the semi-finals now and my theme is "triangles." Hmmm..

In case you didn't know, I also do boudoir photography.. Sessions are tailored to suit you and your comfort level and are conducted in my private studio.

I entered a photography battle and the preliminary round are always a color. My challenge was "red." As of this post, I'm in the lead. Here is my entry...

Meet Nicholas!

I met Nicholas and his parents this last weekend when they visited my new studio.. Although not
totally finished, it was fun to have my first client in my new space.
Here are some of my favorites from our session.

Mom, the sun is too bright!

Trying to capture natural light photographs isn't alwasy as easy as you'd think.. He kept complaining that the sun was too bright. I guess that's what happens when you live in Oregon. You forget what it's like when the clouds part..
